“东方”总主教 (Metropolitan ‘of the East’)，被称为阿拉伯人的使徒 (Apostle of the Arabs)。
Metropolitan ‘of the East’, known as the Apostle of the Arabs. Originating from Balad , he became first bp. of Beth ʿArbaye , and was subsequently consecrated as Metropolitan of the East by Yaʿqub Burdʿoyo (in 559). He undertook much missionary work, and it was due to his conversion of a son of Khusrau I that he was eventually put to death (2 Aug. 575). An informative biography, by an unknown author, is preserved.
“东方”大主教 (Metropolitan ‘of the East’)，被称为阿拉伯人的使徒 (Apostle of the Arabs)。他出身于巴拉德 (Balad)，成为贝特阿拉耶 (Beth ʿArbaye) 的首任主教 (bp.)，随后于 559 年由雅各布·布尔达约 (Yaʿqub Burdʿoyo) 祝圣为东方大主教 (Metropolitan of the East)。他从事了大量传教工作，因使库思老一世 (Khusrau I) 之子皈依，最终被处死（575 年 8 月 2 日）。一部由佚名作者撰写的详实传记得以存世。
