Author of nine short poems on the Nativity. When Yaʿqub of Serugh came across him working as a potter (quqoyo) in Geshir, a village in north Syria, he soon recognized his poetic talents. Imitations of his poems gave rise to a specific genre of poems, designated ‘quqoye’.

九首关于圣诞短诗的作者。当萨鲁格的雅各布 (Yaʿqub of Serugh) 在叙利亚北部的格希尔 (Geshir) 村遇见他正在做陶工 (quqoyo) 时,很快便认可了他的诗歌才华。对其诗歌的模仿催生了一种特定的诗歌体裁,被称为‘陶工诗’(quqoye)。
