Teacher and musician, active in the Near East and Sweden.

He was born in Midyat and in 1914 joined Taw Mim Simkath where he studied under Dolabani , under Paul John (an educator from Kharput), and under Ibrahim Haqwirdi. In 1925 he immigrated to Beirut where he learned music and began putting to music the poems and anthems of the writers of this period. He taught in ʿĀmūda, Damascus , Bethlehem, Jerusalem , and Qamishli. In 1953 he published Men musiqi dilan ḥdato in musical notes, and in the 1970s produced two records. He immigrated to Sweden and died in Stockholm.
